The Wonderful Mr. Chaplin
The revolution of talented slapstick performers such as Charlie Chaplin helped catapult film into the mainstream's attention. He used his unique style of the bowler's cap and the (pseudo) Hitler stache to create a likeable fellow who everbody could relate to. He was a hapless and goofy, yet hard working, everyman who would occasionally get a break. The fact he could make us laugh, made it even more so enticing. Thank you Chaplin, for without you, there would be film making would not exist.
The Wonderful Mr. Abrams
I really liked today's class due to the focus of JJ Abrams. He is one of my favorite contempory directors due to his work on the stellar Star Trek films he made, (one of my personal favorites) Super 8, and the terrifying to this day show Fringe. We got to see his mindset for creating his very secretive projects, and his inspiration. It made me even more (if that is even humanly possible) excited for Star Wars Episode VII.

Thaumateopes
In particular, the heart breaking one was the most fun to create, and the head sprinning one was the most difficult to make. The merger and the heart were the two successful thaumatropes, whereas the head spinner had a less than stellar performance. Two out of three is not incredibly shabby.
